Our Story
LexAdvise was founded in Athens in March 2008 by Konstantinos Mavroidakos and Theodora Plastira, who had each spent six years as senior associates at Magic Circle firms in London — he at Allen & Overy on the corporate side, she at Linklaters in tax. They returned to Greece deliberately at the start of the financial crisis, and made what at the time looked like an unusual choice: rather than join one of the established Greek full-service firms, they opened a four-room practice on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue with a deliberate, narrow focus on three disciplines and a deliberate refusal to add more. Eighteen years on, the firm still has three disciplines, twelve lawyers, and the same address.
